As the concessionaire in the Port of Bar, Ocean Montenegro provides every port service a ship needs from arrival at the anchorage to departure: the pilot guides it into port, the tugs assist with manoeuvring and the mooring boat crew secures it alongside. The pilot station operates 24 hours a day.

Ships in distress have priority, to protect the ship, cargo and lives.
Under the concession agreement with the Government of Montenegro, in force since 22 October 2010 for a period of 30 years, Ocean Montenegro provides the following port services to all vessels entering the Port of Bar:

Pilotage is a service in which a pilot, who knows the local waters well, guides a ship into and out of the port. In the Port of Bar this service is provided by Ocean Montenegro.
Tugs assist ships when berthing, unberthing and manoeuvring in the port. Ocean Montenegro uses the tugs ASD “Sozina” and ASD “Topolica” for this.
Mooring means taking a ship's lines and securing the ship alongside the quay. In the Port of Bar this is done by the crew of the mooring boat “Sofia”.
